The Role of the Bairns’ Hoose VIA Officer (Victim Information and Advice Officer) – Webinar

This session will provide practitioners with a greater understanding of how VIA supports child victims, witnesses and their families throughout criminal justice processes. Adrian will explain the role of the VIA Officer, the support available to children and families, key court and appeals processes, and how VIA works alongside Bairns’ Hoose and other partner agencies to ensure children receive trauma-informed, rights-respecting support.

Participants will gain valuable insight into the victim journey and the importance of multi-agency collaboration in helping children, young people and families navigate what can often be a challenging and complex experience. The session will conclude with an opportunity for questions and discussion.
