Aberdeenshire partnership leads the way in tackling Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation – Learning and Development for our Multi-Agency workforce

Aberdeenshire Child Protection Committee is proud to partner with the Lucy Faithfull Foundation to deliver an ambitious new webinar series on Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation.

This partnership brings specialist expertise directly to Aberdeenshire’s multi agency workforce. It is a sector leading opportunity to build shared knowledge, strengthen professional confidence and ensure that staff across all services recognise concerns and respond effectively.

The three webinars will progress from an introduction to CSAE on 23 September, through safeguarding and child protection on 4 November, to management responsibilities on 7 December. This creates a clear learning pathway for practitioners, managers and supervisors.

Protecting children from sexual abuse and exploitation cannot be achieved by one service alone. By learning together, partners can develop a consistent, informed and coordinated response that places children and young people at the centre.

This is more than a training programme. It is an investment in Aberdeenshire’s workforce and in our shared responsibility to prevent abuse, protect children and provide strong professional leadership.

Practitioners, managers and supervisors are encouraged to attend the sessions relevant to their responsibilities, strengthening knowledge at every level.
