Join us in person at Woodhill House, Members Lounge on Thursday 27th August for a multi-agency celebration event focused on the exploitation of children in Aberdeenshire.
This event will bring partners together to recognise the significant progress made so far, celebrate the strength of collaboration across services, and look ahead to the next phase of work to support and protect Children and Young People.

The Long Game
Adam Elliott will share powerful insights from his lived experience of criminal exploitation and reflect on the work taking place across Aberdeenshire academies. This will include key achievements, learning from engagement with Young People, and what comes next.
Action for Children
Action for Children, recognised for its expertise in the Criminal Exploitation of Children (CEC) – will share national and local learning to support our developing response. In partnership with Aberdeenshire, they will also outline the development of a new service to support Children and Young People who are at risk of, or experiencing, criminal exploitation.
Lucy Faithfull Foundation
The Lucy Faithfull Foundation, recognised for its expertise in Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE), including online harm, will share insight into this important area of work. In partnership with Aberdeenshire, they will outline a programme of training designed to strengthen our shared approach and build practitioner confidence in identifying, preventing and responding to harm.
The event will showcase the progress made so far, celebrate key successes across the partnership, and provide an opportunity to look ahead to the next phase of work linked to the Child Protection Committee Improvement Plan 2026 to 2029, strengthening our collective commitment to protecting Children and Young People from exploitation.
