Children and young people affected by peer-on-peer abuse often encounter complex challenges impacting their safety, well-being, and recovery. This webinar will look at current research examining interventions that address both those who experience harm and those who cause it. The session will explore evidence-informed frameworks, focusing on strengths-based and trauma-informed approaches. The webinar is designed for practitioners in social work, health, education, police, and the third sector who support young people and their families.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
Identify key evidence-based interventions that support the recovery and safety of young people affected by peer-on-peer abuse.
Recognize the components of strengths-based and trauma-informed approaches and their role in addressing needs and vulnerabilities.
Evaluate their own practice, identifying existing components and areas for improvement or additional training.
Reflect on multi-agency collaboration, enhancing understanding of how coordinated efforts improve outcomes for young people.
